Long time no see!

Hey guys! Wow I know it's been some time since I last posted on here. But lately I've been stuck trying to study and at least getting a passing grade in my classes before Christmas Break comes. Which is this Friday might I add! Super excited for the break, not so much for the finals and tests and projects. GRRR!!!! Just have to love school don't ya?

Anyway, after Christmas break I get a totally new schedule....just so you have an idea.

Block 1: Band/Orchestra
Block 2: Honors English
Block 3: Honors Geometry
Block 4: AP World History

Now that you have an idea of what I get to endure for the rest of the year...you should all wish me luck. LoL I'm totally kidding but a good luck would be welcomed. Alright so as I said earlier I get out this Friday the 21st, then I get to go back to school the 7th of Jan. I wish we could have a longer Winter break, it just seems fair doesn't it? I mean we work our butts off to finish school work, study for exams and quizes, try not to fail each class, and be involved with extra circcular activities like Marching band, Jazz Band, Symphony Orchestra, and even the occasional Pep Band! We have to take extra time out of our days to accomplish all of that plus study, and do homework. Us Band geeks live such a hard life don't we?

Alright I have to scadaddle (new word that my section is using to say gotta run) I've got plenty of Homework and Studying I have to do myself. So I'll post later Band Geeks!

A Band Geeks Life.

Hey guys! Just saying this picture should explain it all. :D

So yeah it explains it pretty well right? Anyway all those pictures except the "What my mom thinks I do & the What my boss thinks I do" are pictures from my trip in New York City and Philadelphia. A trip worth while taking, in my opinion! And I just found out on Friday that I get to take an Orchestra trip to St. Louis MI, and then down to somewhere in Kentucky. Less than a $1,000 dollars so I wont be totally broke after this trip like I was on the band one! Anyway I made that picture just for you guys. Hope you like it!

Performance tonight!

Yolo, what's up Band Geeks around the world!?! Tonight is the night, our first concert season well concert! The Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band will be performing three songs each (in total 9 songs, plus our PHI/NYC parade tune). Of course all these songs have to deal with Christmas...or if you don't celebrate Christmas, the December holidays! It should be a really good concert and all of us are extremely excited!
Another nice thing is that we get to pull out our knee high black socks, wicking shirts, and marching shoes again before we wear our uniforms! Missed that thing so much.

Anyway I have to go get ready for the concert, I know I know short post this time but don't worry I'll have tons to tell you tomorrow!

What a week!

Wow guys, it's been a crazy week since my trip! Got to see cool sights and hear awesome street music. But it's all in the past now, we are all back to normal schedule and still trying to get caught up with our homework assingments. It's just been pretty nuts. Anyway in my "What's new band geeks?" post I asked ya'll some interesting questions, and finally I have gotten to over 30 replies back (sadly all private) so I won't be posting names or ID's or even answers...but it was still so cool to get your replies! And as promised I will post my answers to the questions here for ya'll to see!

1. Millard West Wildcat Marching Band
2. (For marching season) Trumpet and Crab Rack. My Trumpets name is Lyra and I didn't name the Crab Rack.
3. I practice all of my scales and different kinds lip slurs.
4. My Trumpet section is the only one to have a party every weekend. My Crab Rack buddy and I had a wicked handshake that we did before we pushed our cart onto the field for performance.
5. Wheat. :D
6. Noisy, Singful, Talk-ative, and Movie Watchers.
7. Hey Mr. Keith! How's it going Bogatz number one!
8. Yup, Philadelphia/New York City, Sioux City South Dakota, Orange City Iowa.
9. I forgot to pack my Triangle for the football game that night. Worst part was, that was the opening instrument for the show!
10. At least 20 different bands throughout NE, SD, WA, and IA.

Now you know my answers, I expect even more the next time I put out a questionare! :)
